Parent Information Session
This evening session is designed to provide parents with ideas and information to help support their child’s preparation for this exciting transition. Our multidisciplinary team of pediatric therapists will provide an overview for parents of the skills needed for a successful start to school, including our occupational therapist, speech language pathologist and physiotherapist.
Topics discussed will include fine motor (preprinting), self care, self regulation and play skills, with our occupational therapist. Our speech language pathologist will provide parents with a wealth of information to help their child’s pre-reading skills, phonological awareness and other aspects of communication and literacy skills. Our physiotherapist will review how we can help our children’s gross motor skills, ball skills and other activities to ensure physical success at school.
