Picky Eating: A Talk for Parents
Why it Happens and How To Manage.

Corinne Eisler (Registered Dietitian) and Lisa Holowaychuk (Registered Occupational Therapist) will lead a joint discussion for parents on this topic, to share their expertise, insights and strategies. Corinne Eisler brings over 25 years of experience as a pediatric dietitian, and Lisa over 17 years of working with children in the areas of sensory and oral motor skill development. With over 40 years of combined clinical experience helping children, parents are sure to leave this evening with new ideas and valuable information.
This informative evening session will review the many underlying reasons why children become picky eaters, and will be an interactive opportunity for parents to ask questions. Picky eating will be reviewed and discussed from various perspectives including emotional, physiological, behavioral, and developmental perspectives. Parents will learn about the dietary, sensory and oral motor considerations involved. This talk with also touch on additional considerations for children with Autism.
Strategies will be given to assist parents to help their children to increase their food variety. With time, patience, and the right input, it can happen! Handouts will be provided and parent questions answered.
