Samantha Hart, MSc, BPhEd, Occupational Therapist

Samantha has a Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University and a Bachelors of Physical Education Degree from Brock University. She has recently moved to Squamish from Ottawa.  Throughout her journey to becoming an occupational therapist Samantha completed a student practicum in a school which focused on early intervention to enable children to be prepared to begin primary school. She has completed courses in pediatric occupational therapy and more specifically sensory processing. Samantha has used this knowledge to work with the Franco-Ontarian Autism society by providing training for staff as well as consultation for campers and their families. Samantha has over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities in several roles including lifeguard, instructor (swimming & skating), therapeutic horseback riding coach, residential camp counselor, and respite worker.

 One of Samantha’s strengths in her role working with children and families is her perspective and understanding as a result of her personal experiences within her own family. Samantha is both creative and enthusiastic which allows her to connect to the children and families she works with. She believes in enabling children to apply their personal strengths and interests to develop independence and establish self-efficacy. 

Samantha is both fluent in English and French, as well as conversational American Sign Language.

 Samantha is registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
