SIJIA LUN, MPT, BSc, Physiotherapist
Sijia’s interest in pediatrics started at a young age, during her first volunteer experience in high school with a summer camp for children with disabilities. Since then, she has developed a strong passion in working with children of all age groups and recognized the value and reward in helping each child reach their full potential during their developmental years.
Sijia completed both her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of British Columbia. She has worked with the Surrey Centre for Child Development and Fraser Valley Child Development Centre, treating children from birth to 18 years in various neurological, developmental and musculoskeltal conditions. More recently, Sijia has also developed extensive skills in working with newborns and toddlers with Plagiocephaly and Torticollis, as well as post-operative rehabilitation of conditions such as hip dysplasia or leg length discrepancies. Sijia believes strongly in incorporating play and activities as part of her treatment plan, and is always looking to find creative ways to help each child reach his or her goals.
As a physiotherapist, Sijia has experience working with all demographic groups in neurological, acute care and orthopaedic settings. She has obtained her Level 1 Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy certification, and continues to seek further education opportunities to improve her skill set. In her spare time, Sijia enjoys running, hiking, yoga, and photography.
